Daybreak is a browser game by GreenRobot LLC. You don't need an account to play. This page covers what the game keeps and who else is involved. GreenRobot's general privacy policy also applies.
Stored in your browser
The game keeps these in your browser's local storage, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings:
- the name and contestant you chose, and your graphics and sound settings
- your own match record on this device
- a random ID that lets the leaderboard recognise you when you come back
Sent to the game server
- While you play online: your name, contestant, position and actions, which go to the other players in your match.
- On the public leaderboard: your name, wins, eliminations and matches played. Choosing a real name is up to you. Names are filtered, and ones that break the rules can be removed.
- Your random ID: the server stores only a one-way hash of it, next to your results. It isn't tied to your identity.
- Connection details: your IP address is used while you're connected to limit abuse, and the server doesn't save it with your results. The hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs.
Solo matches run entirely in your browser and don't go on the leaderboard.
Other companies
The page loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and basic browser details when you visit. See Google's privacy policy. The game has no advertising or analytics today, and this page will be updated before any are added.
Children
Daybreak is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
